IT'S NEW! IT'S EXCITING! IT'S MOUNTAINEER TOSSING!
And BCEP Team (22) Badger Hunters invented it!
It's sweeping the world and it will soon be the most thrilling, new Winter Olympics event! During our "Self Arrest" training session on Saturday, April 13, 2013, above the Mazamas Lodge on Mt. Hood, we didn't have a slope steep enough for students to gain enough speed on a downhill slide in order to learn the proper techniques needed to "stop safely in a stable and secure position." So, we improvised and, using the skill and strength of the assistant leaders, tossed them down the slope. It worked . . . and a new, exciting sport was born!
